Spa Day anybody? I say YASSS and ABSOLUTELY to a spa day any day.
With Spa week in full swing, I thought it would be fitting to share my experience at the Caudalie boutique store and spa on Bleeker Street, NYC. I have been a huge fan of Caudalie and their products for many years, but I have to say this is one spa that I haven’t visited until now.
Nothing makes me and my skin happier than a little TLC at the spa. I had an amazing experience overall. I visited Caudalie on Bleeker Street, back in August. A day to relax and unwind. Also a great way to prep my body and skin for my upcoming trips. A great way to let my skin and body breathe and get revitalized and rejuvenated.
Upon arriving at the Caudalie Bleeker Street boutique, I was greeted by the staff with a glass of their draining tea. One of my favorite teas that aids in detox. It’s a delicious blend of 5 100% organic* plants, these herbal infusions were exclusively created for the Vinothérapie® Tisanerie des Spas. It’s meant to accelerate the elimination of water and toxins for an immediate sensation of well-being. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Vinosource Anti-Oxidant Hydrating Facial
Divine Body Treatment
A relaxing body massage featuring our award winning Divine Oil, a combination of 4 exceptional plant oils. Your skin will be luxuriously softened, moisturized and wrapped in a delicate floral fragrance (rose, grapefruit, pink pepper, vanilla, cedar and white musk).
I had the most amazing specialist, her name is Melissa. If your ever in the NYC/West Village area be sure to ask for her she’s the best! She began her career with Caudalie at the founding Spa and store in Bordeaux, Paris , how AMAZING! She did an exceptional job at accessing my skin and what it needed during my visit. She’s also quite knowledgeable about the brand and their products. Melissa is the perfect Caudalie specialist to ask all your skincare questions and needs.
I came on a great day too, they were celebrating the release and Collaboration of their newly designed product and one of my favorites I might add, their beauty elixir. Jason Wu x Caudalie, if you haven’t tried their beauty elixir I highly suggest you should. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. Be sure to pick up a bottle of your very own the limited edition collaboration Jason Wu Design beauty elixir available in stores and at a Sephora near you.
After my treatments, I felt re-energized and refreshed. I’m all about amazing skincare and using the right products that my skin needs. I’m a huge fan of the Caudalie brand and their products. Their spa experience is an added plus. The Caudalie spa and boutique was not only relaxing but the ambiance and interior design was so very zen and luxurious. Definitely a place I’d come back and visit. If you haven’t been to the Caudalie Store and Spa you should definitely check it out.

It’s been some time since my last post on my skincare routine. Here is my updated routine with some of my beauty + skincare tips and tricks that are beneficial for your skin and overall health. Sit back, relax and grab a come of coffee or water. This will be a long post, but an honest account on all my beauty, healthy and skincare tips and tricks. Enjoy!
I try to make it a daily routine to pamper my skin. Over the years, I’ve used products that contained anti-aging components. But in the last few years, I’ve began to incorporate more anti-aging products to my skincare routine. Now that I’m in my 30’s, I want to keep my skin, youthful, glowing and radiant. I want to prevent early signs of aging and age gracefully through the years. Research has shown that it’s best to start preventative measures sooner rather than later. When you stick to a daily routines, a well-balanced diet, staying hydrated, getting a good nights rest and listening to your skin the results will amaze you.
Lately, I’ve learned a great deal about many anti-aging products and have been experimenting with products that best suit my skin. For this post, I’m sharing my updated skincare routine, along with my healthy + beauty secrets for anti-aging and much more.
First things first, in order for us to look healthy on the outside we need to be healthy on the inside as well. Leading a healthy lifestyle is vital and important in getting great skin. Fruits, Veggies and healthy proteins contain many health benefits along with acting skin solutions. Skincare products are great for our skin, but we can also find active ingredients within our foods that are beneficial to our health and skin. Below are a few staples in my diet that are also great for your skin too. Health is wealth in my opinion. We only have one body, so we need to make sure to treat it right in all aspects.
Staples for me are:
Fave Fruits: Apples, Pitaya, Strawberries, Mango, Lemons, Watermelon, Bananas, blueberries, Avocados, Tomatos, Pears and Tropical Fruits
Veggies: Spinach, Brussel Sprouts, Carrots, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Sweet Potato, Beets, and Zucchini
Healthy Protein: Lean Meats– Chicken, Beef and Turkey
Fish+Seafood: Salmon, Cod, Shrimp, Tuna, Flounder
First things first, always stay hydrated. Hydration is key. A great way to keep hydrated is drinking water, at least 11 cups daily. There was a time where I too, struggled with this but it’s become like second nature to me. It’s best to maintain the habit of drinking water. I like to make it a habit to start first thing in the morning, during the day at various intervals and before I go to bed. It’s so important to stay hydrated, great for your overall health and skin too. In addition to staying hydrated, it’s great to load up on good healthy snacks throughout the day. Almonds are a great go to snack for me. They contain the healthy fatty acids you need and want for healthy skin and body. They also help to slow down the aging process.
Now, aside from a healthy diet is my skincare routine. I like to stick to a routine, and staying consistent. Consistency is key in maintaining healthy looking skin. Although, I’ve changed my products here and there I still stick to my routine for both day and night. For me, I like to keep my skincare routine pretty simple. Here’s what I do:
Morning Skincare Routine:
Facial Oil: On days when my skin just needs extra hydration and moisture (Fall/Winter Months can be used both day and night) Sunday Riley’s Juno Hydroactive Cellular Face Oil
Eye Cream: Caudalie’s Premier Cru Eye Cream
Moisturizer: No 7 Early Defence Day Cream with SPF 30 Every now and then, I’ll use a tinted moisturizer with added SPF: Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 Oil Free in the shade 3C1 Fawn
SPF: Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost Gel With Sunscreen for extra protection
For the night-time I use products that are richer and can absorb into my skin while I sleep. The majority of my products for the night-time have a lot of Anti-aging agents to help keep my skin youthful, hydrated, firm, and rejuvenated. So, while i’m sleeping they can work their magic. So that when I wake in the morning my skin feels nourished, youthful and well rested.
Elixir: Caudalie’s Premier Cru Elixir ( Can be used for the daytime as well)
For Extra TLC Skincare Needs:
For extra hydration and moisture, I’ll often use various hydrating mask and sheet mask. My favorite hydrating sheet mask are: Nature’s Republic Aqua Collagen Solution Ceramide Hydro Gel Mask, Nature’s Republic Real Green Tea Aqua Gel Mask , SKII Facial Treatment Mask , and Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask Hydration.
If I didn’t get enough sleep the night before, and I wake up with puffy eyes and dark circles— I’ll use some under eye gel mask. They’re great for depuffing, replenishing and reducing the appearance of any dark circles for your tired eyes. My favorite go to under eye masks are: Tarte’s Pack your Bags 911 Undereye Rescue Patches, Peter Thomas Roth’s 24K Gold Pure Luxury Lift & Firm Hydra Gel Eye Patches and Que Bella Professional Moisturizing Gel Eye Mask.
In the event my skin is going thru either hormonal spells or the occasional flair up. A great mask that I’ve tried and recommend is Ballerina Botanicals Detox Mask to find out more about the product click here. Another favorite of mine is Glam Glow’s Supermud Clearing Treatment Mask. If my skin needs a little lift and brightening I use Glam Glow’s FlashMud Brightening treatment.
Be sure to exfoliate your skin at least twice a week. My favorite exfoliator at the moment is: First Aid Beauty’s Facial Radiance Polish. I also love : Dermalogica’s Skin Prep Scrub and Daily Microfoliant Powder Exfoliant.

Anniesa Hasibuan’s show was simply captivating and moving. At the young age of 28, Hasibuan was the first Indonesian designer to showcase her collection at NYFW. This show has been heard all over the world, and with good reason. History was made in New York at NYFW, for she was the first Indonesian designer to present her collection, where the hijab made its debut on the catwalk. Featuring colorful headscarves in pink, silver and gold. The hijab was styled with eye catching jackets, gowns, colorful silk and patterned tunics, velvets and brocades adorned with pearls and sequins. All handcrafted and beaded with precise detail and care. Anniesa Hasibuan’s collection was inspired by her hometown Jakarta. The final outfit was the most gorgeous showstopper that left the audience stunned. It was truly inspiring to see a young designer like Anniesa Hasibuan present at NYFW. Not only inspiring but empowering, making you believe that dreams really do come true. The look of joy and happiness shined bright on her face has she walked the runway at the end of her show. The show concluded with a standing ovation, that gave me goosebumps.
I fell in love with the beaded jackets and gowns shown that evening. You can clearly see the time and effort that went into making each piece. How they were all handcrafted with the utmost love and care. Truly remarkable. I would totally rock one of those jackets any day!
[The hijab is a veil traditionally worn by Muslim women in the presence of adult males outside of their immediate family, which usually covers the head and chest. The term can further refer to any head, face, or body covering worn by Muslim women that conforms to a certain standard of modesty. Hijab can also be used to refer to the seclusion of women from men in the public sphere, or it may denote a metaphysical dimension, for example referring to “the veil which separates man or the world from God”. (Wikipedia)]
Most often the hijab is worn by muslim women to display modesty and privacy. Most women are often stereotyped as disempowered, and constricted when wearing the hijab. Although, many women today choose to wear it for personal reasons. The hijab is in fact seen as a feminist statement to many. The women of the muslim culture have been neglected in the fashion industry for quite some time. But thanks to designers like Anniesa Hasibuan–she made her mark which was well received by many in the fashion industry. At the end of the show, I along with fellow blogger and friend Ellese Launer of Rock Paper Glam had the pleasure of speaking with the designer. A lovely women, with such great talents and a heart of gold. We asked, ” How long did the beading take?” And she responded, ” Quite some time, all were hand beaded and crafted.” When you speak to her, you too, will see her grace, charm and passion for fashion.
I’ll concluded with a statement Anniesa Hasibuan made to CNN, “I am so proud and thankful for everyone on the team who helped me so this event could happen, and I am thankful to international and local media from Indonesia for exposing my show. I did not realize the result can be this amazing, and I am thrilled and humbled by the welcome reaction given.” (CNN)
Thank you Anniesa Hasibuan for inspiring and empowering many of us with your collection and making a huge impact on the world. Your designs are truly amazing and well respected.
If you saw the show, and if you caught my Snapchat story that evening, what were your thoughts? Comment below, I love hearing from you!

The Shopstyle Social House was one event that I was SUPER excited about this season. I was thrilled to get invited to the Social House again and experience it all this NYFW SS17. I started my day with the Dan Liu show at the Skylight Clarkson Gallery. Then I headed uptown to the Glasshouses for the ShopStyle Social House event. This was one event I was looking forward to since I got the invitation. I was so happy and thrilled to experience and enjoy it all with my gal pal and fellow blogger friend Loren. She’s the writer and creator behind the blog: Enlightened By Bravery. If you aren’t following her yet, you should. She’s just a great women, with great style and an amazing personality. Such a beautiful soul she has, and I’m happy to have met her. Check her blog out: www.enlightenbybravery.com and her Instagram: @EnlightedByBravery.
This look was my favorite outfit I wore during NYFW. Probably not the best choice for that particular day though, because it felt like a sauna outside in early September. But hey, it’s all in the name of fashion. And let’s be honest, I’m a slave to FASHION. Rock it and own it, which is exactly what I did. What’s great about this dress is that it still can be worn and style for the Fall months. Can’t wait to style and rock the look again soon.
We enjoyed getting our hair done by the hairstylist there that day. Sipped on champagne and Rose, browsed the clothing racks to borrow some FAB pieces to rock during NYFW. Thanks to Shopstyle, Sole Society, The Outnet Iris and Ink and Sam Edelman, for keeping me looking stylish and fashionably chic all throughout NYFW. We were also gifted great cross body bags by Gigi New York which were personally monogrammed for us by the Gigi New York staff. It was great to meet old and new friends as well as connecting with all the vendors at the event.
Dress: Tularosa (You can find the dress on this website as well)
Oxford Lace up Brogues: Kurt Geiger
Sunglasses: Quay Australia
Velvet Choker Necklace: Chloe and Isabel
A special thanks to Shopstyle and @altamiranyc for the mini photoshoot. It was such a pleasure shooting with him. Thankful to have been photographed by someone so talented and amazing. Check him out on Instagram: @altamiranyc.

Leanne Marshall’s SS17 collection at New York Fashion Week was absolutely stunning! We saw some gorgeous chiffon gowns, sheer cropped tops and pants numbers that floated down the runway leaving viewers speechless. Gowns were flowing, models glided through the runway almost as if they were floating on clouds. The overall vibe was something straight out of an elegant fairytale with stunning high fashion outfits. I believe, everyone who saw this show could see themselves wearing her entire collection. There’s no doubt about it, no matter what the occasion is, Leanne Marshall definitely showed beautiful consistency in every single piece that dawned the runway. Anybody who wears Leanne Marshall clothing will be a showstopper and will turn heads all over. Every look exude ethereal, feminine beauty that just flowed throughout the show.
The chiffon, organza, and cotton lace fabrics she used draped the feminine silhouettes effortlessly, making a grand entrance that was so captivating as they appeared on the runway. The inspiration behind her collection came from crystals and the meaning behind their healing energy. Each crystal could mean something different for a lot people. They can be used as a means to uplift you, help you channel the different things you may be going thru or even a way to find a sense of relief or meditation. Many designers have embraced the, “see it now, buy it now,” trend, something Marshall has begun to do too. 41 looks were presented at NYFW, and 10 of them were made to order immediately available now on her website. I don’t know about you, but I would love to owe a Leanne Marshall original any day!
The amount of detail of sheer illusions, hand-beading, and embellishments that Leanne Marshall designed were simply beautiful. It just goes to show the amount of time, dedication and detail that went into every piece of the collection. Needless to say, this show left me stunned by the beauty that existed in every piece that glided through the runway. I loved her color palette choice of soft pastels: rose quartz, plum, and blue. They invoked romantic and flirty feels that complimented Marshall’s artistry, almost dream like ambiance with the use of chiffon fabrics. I’m still amazed by the draping and movement of each piece. Two words I’d use to describe her collection: breathtaking and absolutely stunning. It only leaves us in high anticipation to see what’s to come next season. One things for sure, we know it will be nothing short from AMAZING!
As always, thanks for reading, following along and supporting me in my journey. I hope you enjoyed my recap and photos from this stunning show.
Motivational “Soul” Monday’s
I discovered SoulCycle at a time when I needed it the most. I had just gotten engaged and I was about to plan my version of “My Big Fat Filipino-Guyanese Wedding.” With wedding stress on my mind, work and other things happening at the time, I needed something that could help relieve me from everything going on. Running usually is my go to, source for exercise and the ultimate stress reliever. But I started to see my body plateau and I wasn’t seeing any results, my body had gotten used to my routine and daily workouts, and I too, started to get bored with it. I started to explore different options, even classes that would still give me a great workout, help me get fit and in shape for my wedding, but also fun and something that wasn’t tiresome or tedious. Let’s face it, we all have those moments where we don’t want to workout, but we all know we should. It only makes us better and in turn its great for our overall health.
Thus, began my obsession with SoulCycle. I was hearing the word Soul everywhere. It was the latest craze in the fitness world and heard all over New York City. All the celebrities were doing it, it was literally everywhere. I was hearing many different reviews about SoulCycle, but the only way I would ever really know what all the talk was about is if I would try it for myself. I’ve taken a spin class before, and I will be completely honest, I had my butt kicked. But when I walked into my first class SoulCycle class in the Tribeca, I will admit, I was intimidated. But, I was eager to see what Soul was all about. I was determined to get thru my first class. What I did notice is that everyone was so welcoming, it wasn’t just your normal spin class. It was a fun-filled, upbeat 45 minute class that worked all parts of your body. What makes SoulCycle different from your normal spin class, is that you work all elements of your body, while moving to the beat of the music. After I started to get the hang of it, I learned some new moves on the bike and was moving and grooving to the music. My intimidation soon passed when my instructor, Krista, reassured me and other newbies, we could go at our own pace. If we couldn’t get on the beat, not to worry, just as long as we listened to our bodies, have fun and follow along as best as we could. No judgements! You can just feel the energy in the room, it was contagious, I wanted more. I craved for more soul. After 45 minutes was up, I knew I was definitely coming back. While I still went on runs and to the gym, I began going to SoulCycle regularly. I started to see the changes in my body, mind, and soul. I felt stronger both mentally and physically. I felt more at ease and less stressed. I truly can say that SoulCycle has helped me become a better me. Not to mention, it was fun riding alongside the likes of : Tyra Banks, Bradley Cooper. and Kelly Ripa When I say everyone is joining SoulCycle, I mean EVERYONE! 🙂 So happy I found Soul cycle especially before my wedding.
What you learn in Soul isn’t just about the physical. It’s a mind, body, spirit experience. Soul cycle is more than just a spin class it allows you to find perspective, get centered, change your body and find your SOUL. If your looking for a class that’s fun, strength building both mentally and physically then SoulCycle is for you. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
I’ve said this time and time again, every ride is different but the outcome is always the same, AMAZING! I love the feeling I get after each class. I feel empowered, refreshed, and ALIVE. No one can ever take what you’ve worked on and what your working towards away from you. You are in control, and you decide. SoulCycle, a brand, a community, a way of life. Get your Soul on today!
If you haven’t tried SoulCycle yet, I highly recommend it. You can always find me on the bike either in Tribeca or the West Village. Come ride with me! Let’s get our Soul on together.
My favorite move on the bike: TAP BACK!
Are you a renegade?

It’s definitely more fun in the Bahamas, with great weather and fun in the sun, how could you go wrong! I mean, am I right?!
Last May, I enjoyed a little getaway to the Bahamas. A little fun in the sun and some good ol’ R&R. I’ve enjoyed visiting the Bahamas ever since my first visit back in High School. It was a nice way to free my mind and getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city . Whenever you get a chance it’s always nice to get away now and then, and I feel it’s important too. Great way to get refreshed, relaxed and feel restored and ready to get back to reality.
I stayed at none other than the Atlantis Resort & Casino on Paradise Island. I stayed at the newest, most modern and fashionably chic part of the resort: The Cove Atlantis.
Atlantis Paradise Island Resorts & Casino: Located at: One Casino Drive Paradise Island, Bahamas. It’s the Caribbean’s top vacation resort to visit. Discover all the fun and all it has to offer. The Resort has water parks the whole family can enjoy, fine dining, casino gaming and so much more. The resort has so much to offer you almost don’t need to go anywhere else. The Atlantis is such a gorgeous hotel and resort with so much to do for the whole family. I would highly recommend staying here when you visit the Bahamas. There are also many other hotels on Paradise Island and in downtown Nassau that are also notable. But this is one hotel that offers so much and has just about everything you’re looking for when your looking for relaxation, fun in the sun, and much more. Plus, it’s one of our favorites.
What Atlantis has to offer–What To See + What To Do:
Guest don’t just have to go to Rodeo drive or 5th Avenue for luxury shopping. Atlantis Resorts offers world-class shopping thats just steps away from your room. Visit the Crystal shops located in the The Royal Tower, more boutique shops in their Cove Tower, Marina Village and the Pro shop. Whatever you fancy Atlantis offers that and much more. If you want to venture off Paradise Island, head down to Bay Street located in downtown Nassau. There you’ll find many shops, outlets, boutiques and the local straw market. The Straw Market is one of my favorite place to visit. The straw market is a traditional open-air market, where local vendors sell handwoven straw crafts, Bahamian souvenirs & tourist trinkets. Definitely a great place to buy gifts for family and friends. Great for bargains as well.
Where To Eat:
The Atlantis has a variety of foods to offer, so you won’t go hungry thats for sure. If your looking for fine dining, dining al fresco or some quick eats Atlantis has it. Island life is the best life and its great for any setting for eating. enjoy eating at one of my favorite restaurants Nobu (Celebrity Chef Restaurant), if your looking for something more Island cuisine then you’ll enjoy 77 West. Here are some other restaurants at Atlantis that may tickle your fancy.
Fine Dining Options (Our Faves):
Casual Dining Al Fresco (Our Favorites):
And if your super hungry and looking for something with more variety check out Poseidon’s Table. This is Atlantis’s newest buffet dining restaurant that has so much to offer. With an eclectic cuisines for dinner and an array of your breakfast favorites.
There is so much to see and do at The Atlantis but the same goes for the entire island of the Bahamas. If you want to experience the island, here are some suggestion on what to see in the Bahamas.
If you’re anything like us, wherever we travel we like to check out where the locals hangout and eat. We love seeing and exploring the hot spots for the locals, especially for eating. So if your looking for something more local and authentic, take a little drive or walk down downtown Nassau to the Fish Fry. The Fish Fry, is where you’ll find real, authentic Bahamian dishes that will satisfy your tastebuds. The Fish Fry is a place I would highly recommend if your looking for local and real Bahamian cuisine.
During our trip, we enjoyed each day by the pool or beach, basically relaxed in paradise. Some days were spent, curled up reading a book or work in the Library lounge located in the Royal Tower. And of course we love taking photos. Honestly, every inch of this hotel and island was so Instagram friendly. It’s impossible to not find a more perfect place to take photos. If your favorite photo spot is occupied? Don’t fret, walk in any direction of the resort or even away from the hotel and you’ll find another perfect spot. This may seem like #bloggerproblems, but no fear the island is so beautiful, every inch is photo worthy. You’re in island paradise, so don’t worry you’ll be able to capture that perfect island photo shot, GUARANTEED! We enjoyed cocktails by the pool even tried our luck at the casino. Danced the night away at the Aura Nightclub and returned to the lobby bar for a nightcap.
The Island of the Bahamas and the Atlantis is so absolutely gorgeous with fun, relaxing and positive vibes. During you’re stay you’ll feel at ease and with so much to do you won’t ever have to worry about being bored. When you visit the Bahamas and stay at the Atlantis, you will surely have an amazing time as we did. Although the majority of our visit was spent at the resort, we also took time to explore the rest of the island. All in all, we enjoyed our stay in the Bahamas and at the Atlantis Resorts and Casino Paradise Island. We want to thank the entire staff at the Atlantis for making our stay such a fantastic experience. We also want to thank the Bahamas tourism board for the incredible tour of the beautiful island.
Have you traveled to Paradise?

Set sail, we’re headed to the Grand Cayman islands.
I was so thrilled to go to Grand Cayman islands. This would be a first time visiting the island and I couldn’t wait to explore it all. So, Grand Cayman was one of the stops on my cruise. So, I had to maximize my time since we only had a few hours there. So, as soon as we docked, it was time to explore! We arrived at 8am and were set to sail at 5pm. So, I wanted to cover as much as I could during that time frame. First, I had breakfast on the boat, then my next stop was Seven Mile beach.
Grand Cayman Islands Facts:
Next stop, Seven Miles Beach. Seven Miles beach is best known for its beauty and was honored in receiving “The Caribbean’s Best Beach” from Caribbean Travel and Life Magazine. It’s the most popular, and most developed in the Grand Cayman’s. Seven Miles beach is the home of the islands luxury resorts and hotels. Despite its name, it’s actually stretches a bit over 6.3 miles. Once you walk the stretch you’ll be able to enjoy beach for miles, restaurants along the beach in and outside the resorts are open to the public. Definitely an area where tourist visit, an where we spent most of our time. You can enjoy water sports such as scuba diving and snorkeling which are the most popular activities on the island. Our day was spent enjoying the beach and having fun in the sun. We also, had fun on the jet ski’s! If you haven’t gone jet skiing before, I highly recommend it. It’s so much fun!
After a few drinks and some sun, and my newly bronzed and tan self I made my way back towards the boat. But before getting on the boat, I stopped into the local shops in the downtown area close to port. As I said before, the island isn’t that big, so you can literally walk and drive around the entire island. I made my way back to the downtown/ George town area, enjoyed some authentic rum cake, purchased a few souvenirs for family, friends and myself and made my way back onto the boat.
If your looking for beach, water sports activities, great views, and just time to relax and unwind then Grand Cayman Islands is a place to visit. It’s truly a beautiful island, where the people are friendly, and welcoming. Grand Cayman isn’t a big island, but it has a lot to offer.

Hope everyone’s doing well, for this Travel + Explore post I’m telling you all about Norwegian Cruise Line and my experiences with them.
Ever since I was a kid, traveling as been a big part of my life and even into my adult years. As a kid, my parents would take my siblings and I on vacations around the world. One of the first times my family and I went to the Caribbean was when we traveled by boat. We used Carnival back in the day when they first come out and it was the newest boat out on the market. And after that we tried out Royal Caribbean and now in my adult years I’ve traveled with Norwegian.
Although Carnival and Royal Caribbean are great cruises especially when they first started their vacation packages back in the day.
But my philosophy is when you’re on vacation shouldn’t you choose the vacation you want. Do what you want and when you want?? Not to knock or disrespect the other cruise liners out there, but while I’m on vacation I don’t want to stick to a strict schedule. I rather choose and figure things out as I go as far as cruising goes.
Why do I LOVE cruising with Norwegian Cruise Lines?
I love the fact that Norwegian Cruise lines prides on the fact that there kind of cruising is FreeStyle.

There are many options out there for cruising. But this is why I choose Norwegian and why I recommend them. I’m not disregarding the other cruise liners, but I’ve had great experiences with Norwegian and will continue to cruise with them in the coming years.
If you haven’t check out Norwegian Cruise Line yet I highly recommend it. Have Fun and enjoy your vacation! Cruise like a Norwegian!

– Winston Churchill
“When you take risk you learn that there will be times when you succeed and there will be times when you fail, and both are equally important. It’s failure that gives you the proper perspective on success.” – Ellen DeGeneres
“Tis a lesson you should heed:
Try, try, try again.
If at first you don’t succeed,
Try, Try, Try again.”

HAPPY MONDAY LOVES!!
” Success is most often achieved by those who don’t know what failure is inevitable.”
– Coco Chanel
I hope you’ll had a wonderful weekend, I had a great weekend. Catching up on some work, enjoying time with the hubs and catching up and enjoying good food and drinks with the bestie. Overall, it was a great weekend.
Recently, I’ve been asked by many co-workers, friends and family about how I constantly stay motivated in my work, career and life. So I thought I’d write and post about it for my “Motivational Monday’s” blog post.
Just like most of us, I’d like to think we all make goals for ourselves, and have dreams and aspirations. I try and make my goals realistic and attainable, whether it’s a weekly goal, or even life-long goals. Because I’ve made goals in the past that weren’t as easy at they seemed when I thought about it at first, and I didn’t stick to them. But I never want to discourage myself or others in the same respects too. Just speaking from experience and being human. But I believe it’s important to dream and to set goals for ourselves. For myself, it helps me stay on track and keeps me in check.
Lately, many may think I run myself too thin and I may have too much on my plate. I’ve recently joined and began collaborating and partnering up with other companies and brands. And yes it may sound a lot, in addition to my two business, job and other stuff, but I can truly say that I fully enjoy what I do and I have a passion for it. So, enjoying what I do, along with having a passion for it, keeps me focused, motivated and striving for more, for my businesses, side projects and partnerships.
One of my girlfriends said,” Are you ever gonna give yourself a break?” Breaks are great and needed for sure. They are so we can stay on track and stay sane. And with balance, taking vacations when I can and taking breaks I’m still moving and grooving through life!! 🙂
I said, “I’m enjoying the ride and I’m still young.” So, my thought process is- I want to work hard now, so that later on, in a few years maybe , I could retire or not work as much and continue to live and enjoy life even more than I do now. Because I’ll know that all my hard work has paid off.
Ultimately, I said to her that I know in due time my hard work will all pay off. All those sleepless nights, long days/hours will all be worth it in the long run. My girlfriend replied, I appreciate her comment, kind words and sentiments. I’ve also taken notice over the years, how dedicated and hard-working my parents are, and how far they’ve come to get where they are now. Ultimately, I said to her that I know in due time my hard work will all pay off. All those sleepless nights, long days/hours will all be worth it in the long run. My girlfriend replied, ” That’s amazing and inspiring. Spoken like a true woman with much determination and ambition.” I appreciate her comment, kind words and sentiments.
Another things that has always kept me motivated is seeing how hard my parents have worked to get where they are today. My parents taught us to work hard at everything we do. There will be difficult times and times where sacrifices need to be made, but in the end it will all be worth it. I’ve always taken what my Dad has said to me and my siblings, all his talks and advice have stayed with me in all my 30 years. And I continue to believe in his words and work hard on the daily, and keep my eyes on the prize. Because I know in the end all of it will be worth it and it will all pay off in the long run. It also helps to have a husband whose as hard-working as I am if not more. With his love, support, advice and his work ethic, my husband continues to be my number one supporter, since the very beginning. So, it makes it that much easier for me to stay focused and motivated. I’m truly blessed, lucky and grateful to have a man like him by my side for life. He is truly an inspiration to me and a driving force in my life that keeps me grounded , and a positive force in my life. It makes a world of a difference when you have a huge support system and positive like-minded individuals like my Dad, Husband and brothers in my life. My cheering squad for LIFE!
” Failure is so important. We speak about success all the time. It is the ability to resist failure or use failure that often leads to greater success. I’ve met people who don’t want to try for fear of failing.”- J.K. Rowling
Here’s my list of things that have helped keeps me motivated in all aspects of life:
1. Set goals– Start off small and simple. Then as you progress and are moving forward, work your way to bigger ones
Make it fun. .. It’s important to always be passionate in all things that you do. I’m a firm believer in being passionate about what you do in life. It will reflect in your work, and your overall appearance and outlook on your work life/life. You’ll feel more confident about your work, and your overall performance.
Stay active3. — A healthy body goes a long way. Health is wealth, you only have one body so treat it RIGHT! Stay fit and be active, and you’ll be feeling great, rejuvenated, and have so much ENERGY! Which will fuel you and help you get through those long days.
4. Create a Dream Board or Vision Board– I’m a VERY visual person, so I like to make list and see my goals and aspirations all laid out on paper for me. I find it inspiring and it helps me see why i’m working so hard. And I can see my dreams and goals in front of me. It’s a great constant reminder and a useful visual tool.
5. Strategy– Having a Business and PR mindset, I like to always be strategic in all the things I approach. It helps me stay organized and keeps me thinking. Always thinking outside the box. Keep the ideas flowing– get the creative juices flowing.
6. Ask for Help when needed — I always thought before I was superwoman and I could tackle anything and everything all at once. I learned the hard way that isn’t necessarily the case. Asking help doesn’t mean you’ve failed or that you failed in reaching your goals. It just says your human. Sometimes we need help along the way. It’s perfectly ok to ask for it when needed. So don’t be afraid to say you need help. Two minds are sometimes better than one.
Try not to Stress7. — Stress happens, its natural, we are human. And no matter how hard we may fight it, it inevitably and can get to the best of us. But it’s always good to step away from whatever you’re doing and take a break. Come back refreshed, with an open-mind, and clear head. It’s always good to take a break, take vacations. To get clarity and relax. Work will always be there, regardless, but you need to take care of yourself too. So, take breaks, take vacations, trust me you won’t feel burnt out, and overworked as much when you do.
8. Check in with yourself– Check in with yourself once in awhile. Refer back to your list of goals, dreams, and see where you’re at, at that point in time. See your progress, or lack of it and see where you need to be, or should be. See and evaluate what needs to be done to make it to where you want to be. Start to gain perspective of things and see how far you’ve come and where you’re going. It’s always good to re-assess, regroup, and either look deeper if need be. Or try to look further to see the bigger picture.
9. Stay positive, Surround yourself around Positive people– Staying positive is always good. I like to surround myself around positive minded individuals. Be optimistic, always look for the good rather than thinking the worse. When I surround myself around positive and like-minded people I feel amazing and they do too. So, why not feel great ALL THE TIME! Leave the drama and negativity for all the negative Nancys and naysayers. Don’t waste your time on situations or individuals who continue to bring you down or who are always negative and don’t lift you up. NO TIME FOR NEGATIVITY.
10. Balance– Try to lead a well balanced life. Leading a well balanced life is a work in process for all of us. Sometimes it’s hard to find balance, I struggle with this still. But I’m slowly but surely learning and getting there. But i’ve found when I do find balance, I”m so much happier and better because of it. I’m more focused, energized, and all the good vibes are flowing. I’m find myself even more determined than I was before. I know it’s hard, we all fall victim to this, but when we learn to try and work at, it truly helps in the long run.
11. Make your work space visually stimulating– If you’re able to, make your work space some thing you would want to look at on the daily. This will help and make you want to work in that space . It’s like training your mind to think that your work is like your “happy place” when you creative that kind of space. Whether your working with desk space or an office room, whatever it is, make it a space you feel comfortable in, something that’s inviting, and a place you feel you can create and do great things!
12.As the proverb goes, “At first you don’t succeed, Try, try, try again” –. Everything takes time, effort, hard work and dedication. Nothing ever happens overnight or poof just like that. So if ever you feel defeated or that you’ve failed, stop, breath, stay calm, and take a step back. And remember, there’s always tomorrow, it’s a new day and try again. Sometimes stepping away from a project and leaving it to the next day is best to attack with fresh eyes and a clear mind. We are all human, we all have our moments. As much as we would like to believe we can do it all and get it all done. Sometimes we just need to stop, reassess and try again. It’s ok to admit our failures and downfalls, it’s part of life, we weren’t created to be perfect, no one is perfect! Just remember, with hard work, determination, staying focused, know that all the tears and sweat will pay off in the end. So keep pushing, keep trying and moving forward! You can do it, it may take time, but it will get done.
