High/Low Fashion: Sporty Biker Chic Vibes

Posted on: April 7, 2017

Enjoying a lovely Saturday with these two beauties Loren from @EnlightenedbyBravery (Gigi New York Clutch)  and Amanda from @Everythinghurts.me (Gigi New York Satchel)

I must say this was one of my FAVE outfits I styled for a fun outing with my girlfriends. It’s the perfect casual chic outfit that’s still comfortable, simple yet so fashionable all at the same time. I love to mix high and low fashions to create such a comfortable look that’s great for a day out with the ladies. This look is great for any outing really, especially if you still want to look stylish but still comfy. What’s great about this outfit, everything seen on me are great transitional pieces for the Fall or even Spring. I say Fall because the olive leather jacket is a great piece to wear in the Fall for it’s deep autumn color tones plus you can style this with just about any outfit. The pops of colors and light weight garments I wore would be perfect for a Spring day. No matter how or when you you wear an outfit like I did here, you’ll be so comfy and looking so fly everywhere you go! I always strive for comfort first, but of course I keep it classy, stylish and always chic!

This leather jacket has to be one of my fave jackets at the moment. I absolutely love the Olive green color with it’s biker style details, it’s the perfect balance between edgy and chic. Another plus, not only does it look amazing it’s super affordable. My wedge Nike sneakers I wore were are not only   super cute but comfortable as well. They give me a little height but yet I don’t feel any discomfort at all unlike other wedge sneakers. I’ve experienced discomfort with other wedge sneakers before.  Where the sneakers were purely for style and very rarely do I where them now. But these babies I could walk in them for hours and my feet don’t hurt at all. As for my handbags, and if you don’t know by now, I’m a HUGE handbag LOVER which goes hand in hand with my love for shoes. But those two topics will be saved for another post coming VERY SOON! Holiday Style: Glitz and Glam with Julie Brown NYC

Posted on: December 16, 2016

Looking for the perfect outfit to wear to any holiday event? Continue reading and find out the details of this holiday outfit I put together.

This outfit was one of my absolute favorites, the perfect look for the holiday season. For this look I was channeling my inner Gossip Girl {so to speak}, maybe my inner Serena or Blair. I’ve been watching the beloved series again lately and this outfit made me think of the fabulous fashion that was seen on the show. I don’t know about you, but I definitely think this show should return to tv. I know, I’m not the only one to say this, am I right? Who wouldn’t love to see Serena, Blair, Chuck, Dan and the whole group again!!??

Thanks to Julie Brown NYC this stunning gold top with beaded detail gives the perfect amount of sparkle and shine for the holiday season. It gives the outfit the allure of all the glitz and glam one would want in an outfit for the holidays. I paired it with this silk black accordion skirt by Rebecca Minkoff. For shoes, you can go either way– pair it with heels like these from Sam Edelman or even these ultra cheek black leather knee high boots by Stuart Weiztman as seen here (my favorite over the knee boots). For accessories, I wore my favorite Hermes H enamel bangle with black and gold hardware, a ring from Chloe and Isabel and my Givenchy Envelope clutch. The perfect clutch for any occasion! This look was so easy to put together and definitely an outfit that can be worn for any special occasion. I wore this outfit to a Holiday Birthday party for one of my fellow blogger friends. The perfect outfit for an amazing evening!!

SFB StreetStyle Chic: Denim Style

Posted on: November 18, 2016

So here’s a fun fact about me– during my college days I worked at Jasmine Sola in Boston, MA. While working there, I met some great friends, learned about fashion merchandising and got first hand experience working with the various brands we carried. In addition, I found myself becoming a denim specialist. I learned about various denim designers, the different styles and what style worked for each body type. When shopping for denim, I always say, “It’s always best to try on denim, see how the fit looks and if your derriere looks great their a winner!” Aside from that if they make you feel like a million bucks then it’s a win win. During my retail days, I enjoyed seeing my customers walk out of the store happy and feeling good about themselves, and I was part of that. I’ve always had a love for fashion, but working at Jasmine Sola made me realize my passion for fashion even more.  Since working at Jasmine Sola, my love for fashion and labels have evolved over the years. I will admit, I’m always on the hunt for a fresh new pair of denim to add to my closet. My favorite jeans back then were: Seven Jeans, Joe’s, Paige and Citizens For Humanity to name a few. Nowadays, some of my fave denim brands are: Frame Denim, DL 1961, BlankNYC Jeans, and Rag and Bone.

These ones right here have become a personal favorite lately. The distressed, ripped styled make these great for a chic street style look. As you can see here, I’ve paired these jeans with a simple button down top, loafers and a scarf. Although the look was so simple it was still comfy and stylish all at the same time.  This made for the perfect outfit to walk around the streets of Edinburgh during our visit to the UK back in late August, early September. You can wear this look just about anywhere and you’ll be looking fabulous! If you want to take this look from day to night, add some killer heels, a moto jacket and your favorite lipstick for a pop of color. And just like that you’ll be looking like a badass fashionista ready to hit the town! (Shop my favorites for a night time glam look) Shop my Look below.
