Ask and you shall receive…. It’s been long overdue, but here is my full product list of all my high-end favorites and staples for beauty products that I use. Just like I mix up my style with high/low fashion, I do the same with my beauty products. As much as I love to get more for my buck and save money, I also like to treat myself every once in a while with a few of my favorites—-all things beauty related. As for my daily beauty routine, for the Summer, I alway tend to keep it pretty simple. For the most part, my routine for day and night throughout the year is pretty simple as a whole. Sometimes, I like a little more glam every now and then, but for the most part I like to keep it fresh and simple. As a beauty enthusiast, I love trying and testing out different products. Over the years, I’ve acquire some of my favorites and staples that I’ve incorporated into my daily beauty routine. Here and there, I change it up–but I tend to stick to what I know, what works and what keeps my skin looking radiant, clean, fresh and glowing all throughout the year. I may some tweaks a few things during the change of seasons to keep my skin supple and hydrated, but these are in fact my HOLY GRAIL PRODUCTS.

Hi Beauties!
I know it’s been sometime since I’ve done a beauty post……. Ask and you shall receive.
As you all may know, and if you don’t I’m a huge Beauty enthusiast on all levels. I believe when you beauty is not only on the outside it’s also from within as well. When you truly feel comfortable with yourself, in your own skin that to me, is beautiful.
With Fall upon us, I’m always on the search for the perfect shade for the season. I’m all about lip shades that make for great transitional colors that work through the seasons. Of course, when I find a shade that I absolutely LOVE I have to share my thoughts with you all. Remember, sharing is caring, and I love sharing and I do care about you all!!
Recently, YSL released their new matte liquid lipsticks, Tatouage Couture. The shade I have on here is shade 08 Black Red Code. The perfect mix between a deep red and burgundy, great for the Fall and Winter seasons. The formula reminds me of Chanel’s Rouge Allure Ink. YSL’s Lip stains don’t dry quickly matte, but for maximum results and full opacity I would recommend to layering the color on your lips to get its full color pay off. The color pay off is simply gorgeous and I love the formula of this product. It’s transfer-proof, non-drying, extremely comfortable and it didn’t settle into my lip lines. It has the signature YSL scent, but it doesn’t linger once it sets. It’s unique applicator shape makes for a full and easy application. Overall, I found that these lip stains are long lasting, lightweight, ultra matte, gives a high impact color with a naked lip feel. I absolutely love this lip shade and I would highly recommend this product to anyone and everyone. So, indulge and treat yourself to this luxurious, gorgeous product, you won’t be disappointed. YSL offers 18 great shades that are now available at your local Sephora or anywhere that sells YSL Beauty Products.
Thanks to Influenster and YSL Beauty for sending me this lip stain complimentary in exchange for an honest review.
Stay fabulous, strong, confident, fearless and beautiful both inside and out loves!!

In June, I attended a Cosmo Event, Let’s Talk about It– an all day crash course in speaking up, getting real and living your happiest life. The event spoke about topics that are seen as taboo to some but ones that deserved a conversation and to take a deeper look at. It was a great way to offer some advice and to share our thoughts in an open and honest space. We all have goals, dreams, aspirations in life and sometimes its a tough world out there and sometimes our voices are never really heard or even taken into consideration. After attending this event and just as a whole, it’s important to share your thoughts and let your voice be heard. Remember, your voice is your superpower!
Cosmopolitan didn’t disappoint at all, the day was fun, enlightening, empowering and definitely something I along with many benefitted from. With an amazing panel speaking about topics like money & power, sex & romance, beauty & image, happiness and more.

This year, I welcomed and danced into my 32nd year gracefully. Every day I feel grateful to see another day. As the saying goes, Another year older, another year wiser. I’ve learned a lot so far and I continue to learn new things every waking day. Thank you for all the lessons, experiences and moments that have brought me to 32. I’m thankful and blessed to have an Amazing husband, family and friends. And last but certainly not least, I can’t forget all of you! I’m so incredibly thankful to connect, interact, engage and meet you all. All your daily love and support warms my heart and continues to lift my spirits which is an added reason for my will to continue to empower, inspire, and enlighten you all.
I’m continuing my journey to living a life with passion, love and saying “I can!” Thank you for all your love, support and for following my journey. Looking forward to what 32 has to offer. Can’t wait to share it all with you!! This year, I’d like to grow even more personally and professionally. I’d like to see my businesses succeed and grow even more, I’d like to add more checks to my bucket list, I’d like to travel to new countries–learn about other cultures and try some more delish foods. I’d like to spend more quality time with my husband, family and friends. I’d like to host more events with my husband. Connect with new friends, old friends and family. I’d like to run a marathon, if not this year one day! These are some of my goals and what I look forward to doing this year. Call me a goal getter, but I’m a creature of habit. Try it sometime (writing out your hopes and goals for the year), see how much you can achieve in a year. I challenge you all do this this, it will not only keep the momentum of living life fully going, but it will inspire and empower you, believe me!!!

Hey Beauties!
Today, I’m shifting gears and sharing a little bit of beauty and female empowerment. I love learning about new products especially when the message is inspirational. I’ll also take any opportunity to celebrate, enlighten, and encourage my fellow ladies any chance I get. I mean let’s be honest, who runs the world? Women, and that isn’t changing anytime soon.
I’ve never been more excited to try on lipstick shades as I am now. The GIRL collection by Hourglass Cosmetics has a very inspiring and empowering message for girls and women. Featuring 20 shades with titles like: Innovator, Influencer, Activist and many more. This is a collection to wear not only for the Summer but always, with a great message behind the collection. There’s also a social media movement going on that urges women to recognize the good in one another as well as yourself. In this simple act of appreciation the brand hopes that this will open the flood gates of positivity. This collection could’t have launched at a better time. A stunning collection that provides a beautiful message with a boost of confidence and a constant reminder to show support and love to each other instead of hate. This is the exact initiative we need to remind ourselves and demonstrate the importance of not only being kind and supportive to one another but to let our voices, purposes, and passions guide us to make big changes. An added bonus, to never shy away from a good lip color. It’s comforting to know that forward movement is happening and the female voice has strengthened, making waves even in the beauty industry. It’s such a wonderful and refreshing concept. Now, we can be seen, heard, and described in a more positive colorful and uplifting light.
The #GIRLFORGOOD campaign encourages people to upload photos of themselves or their friends and tag them with one of the 20 shade names — you can choose from Believer, Creator, Explorer, Seeker, Peacemaker, Achiever, Influencer, Dreamer, Idealist, Futurist, Activist, Inventor, Lover, Innovator, Visionary, Icon, Leader, Liberator, Protector, and Warrior. (Refinery29)
To find your perfect shade and to learn more about the collection and the cause behind it go to: https://www.hourglasscosmetics.com/girlforgood .
Continue to shine ladies always!! I am a Influencer, Lover, Innovator, Warrior and Dreamer. What shade are you?
As always, thanks for reading, following along and supporting my journey!
Hi Loves!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday with family and friends. I hope it was filled with much love, happiness and joy. The holidays for me were spent with family and friends on the West coast. It was great to see family that my husband and I hadn’t seen in quite some time. As well as, spend some quality time with our immediate family too. As I’ve mentioned before, the holidays and the time of the year, gives me all sorts of the feels, and every year I’m filled with many emotions. Mostly good ones but as I’ve said the holidays and the time of the year always gives me the feels. In just a few days, we turn the page and close the book to 2016 and welcome the new year. Although 2016 was a year filled with much success, love, new friendships, and amazing memories I’m ready to welcome 2017 and see what it has to offer. One of the new things I will add to my blog is a section where I get a little more personal with you al. Although, I feel like I get pretty personal already, I wanted all of you to get to know me a little more. So, for 2017 I will get a little more personal and share more of my life with you all. While also continuing to inspire, enlightened and empower you.
—
With 2017 just days away, I don’t know about you but I always like to set goals for myself for the new year. Some may refer to them as resolutions, but I like to make goals for myself. Goals that are realistic, positive and ones that will be good for me in the long run. I hope you all can join me and set some goals for yourself as well. We’re all in this together, right?! Set goals that are realistic, ones that you do for you.
Here are my Resolutions/Goals for 2017:
Get to know me more, reasons behind the goals and resolutions:
One of the things many don’t know, and I will admit is that I wear my heart on my shoulders. I’m human, and someone who cares and one who has a big heart. And at times, I can let me emotions get the best of me. I often let things get to me more so than they should. I tend to “sweat” (so to speak) the small stuff and let it get the best of me. But for 2017, I will try my best to not to be bothered by things so easily and to not sweat the small stuff.
Sometimes, I can get too involved in my work (because I love what I do, and feel very passionate about it) that I don’t know when to step away. For 2017, I will learn to make more time for myself, my husband, my family and friends. Work will always be there, and I will remain dedicated to my life’s passion, while also making more time for the people I love and care about. I’ll also know when to turn the phone off and step away. For 2017, I will be more conscientious to turn off and step away ( the phone and computer and from work). I’ll live more in the moment and never let anything pass me by.
As a blogger, avid photo taker and IGer– I will admit that I have become overly obsessed in trying to get the “perfect shot.” Sometimes, I will admit I strive for perfection way too much. But I’ve also learned that it’s ok to not be so perfect. I mean, imperfections is what makes us all unique in our own way. So, maybe I won’t have the perfect photo every time, that’s ok by me. For 2017, I will learn to love my imperfections while continuing to stay true to myself.
I’ve always lived by the rule: It’s ok to indulge one in awhile. But like many of us, I too can get carried away with that saying. But I’m turning the tables and getting back on track. I truly believe that 2017 is my year, and the year for all of us. For 2017, I will commit to staying fit, being active and healthy. We only have one life and body so we gotta treat it right, right?! So whose with me?
I like to call myself an adventurous soul, who loves learning and trying new things. I want to continue this for the new year and years to come. I don’t want to limit myself and I want to be more open to new things. So for 2017, I will continue to be open to trying and learning new things.
And lastly, although I characterize myself as a very happy and content person. I always set this goal for myself every year. There were times in my life where I wasn’t so happy and content, but I left those dark days behind me and have been so much happier ever since. I mean it’s not hard to stay happy when you have the love of your life by your side, great friends who are like family and family whose been by my side through and through. So for 2017, I’ll continue to be happy and I hope my happiness can add sunshine to your lives too!
I look forward to sharing more about myself with you all, more on beauty, fashion, lifestyle and travel, and continue to inspire, empower and enlighten you in 2017! Let’s make 2017 AMAZING!!
What are your goals/resolutions for 2017?
As always, thanks for reading, following along and supporting me in my journey!

I try to make it a daily routine to pamper my skin. Over the years, I’ve used products that contained anti-aging components. But in the last few years, I’ve began to incorporate more anti-aging products to my skincare routine. Now that I’m in my 30’s, I want to keep my skin, youthful, glowing and radiant. I want to prevent early signs of aging and age gracefully through the years. Research has shown that it’s best to start preventative measures sooner rather than later. When you stick to a daily routines, a well-balanced diet, staying hydrated, getting a good nights rest and listening to your skin the results will amaze you.
Lately, I’ve learned a great deal about many anti-aging products and have been experimenting with products that best suit my skin. For this post, I’m sharing my updated skincare routine, along with my healthy + beauty secrets for anti-aging and much more.
First things first, in order for us to look healthy on the outside we need to be healthy on the inside as well. Leading a healthy lifestyle is vital and important in getting great skin. Fruits, Veggies and healthy proteins contain many health benefits along with acting skin solutions. Skincare products are great for our skin, but we can also find active ingredients within our foods that are beneficial to our health and skin. Below are a few staples in my diet that are also great for your skin too. Health is wealth in my opinion. We only have one body, so we need to make sure to treat it right in all aspects.
Staples for me are:
Green Juices:
Fave Fruits: Apples, Pitaya, Strawberries, Mango, Lemons, Watermelon, Bananas, blueberries, Avocados, Tomatos, Pears and Tropical Fruits
Veggies: Spinach, Brussel Sprouts, Carrots, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Sweet Potato, Beets, and Zucchini
Healthy Protein: Lean Meats– Chicken, Beef and Turkey
Fish+Seafood: Salmon, Cod, Shrimp, Tuna, Flounder
Healthy Snacks:
First things first, always stay hydrated. Hydration is key. A great way to keep hydrated is drinking water, at least 11 cups daily. There was a time where I too, struggled with this but it’s become like second nature to me. It’s best to maintain the habit of drinking water. I like to make it a habit to start first thing in the morning, during the day at various intervals and before I go to bed. It’s so important to stay hydrated, great for your overall health and skin too. In addition to staying hydrated, it’s great to load up on good healthy snacks throughout the day. Almonds are a great go to snack for me. They contain the healthy fatty acids you need and want for healthy skin and body. They also help to slow down the aging process.
—
Now, aside from a healthy diet is my skincare routine. I like to stick to a routine, and staying consistent. Consistency is key in maintaining healthy looking skin. Although, I’ve changed my products here and there I still stick to my routine for both day and night. For me, I like to keep my skincare routine pretty simple. Here’s what I do:
Morning Skincare Routine:
Cleanse: Sephora Collections : Total Purify & Cleanse Gel or Dermalogica’s Special Cleansing Gel
Facial Oil: On days when my skin just needs extra hydration and moisture (Fall/Winter Months can be used both day and night) Sunday Riley’s Juno Hydroactive Cellular Face Oil
Toner: Dermalogica’s Multi-Active Toner Spray , Caudalie’s Grape Water and Caudalie’s Beauty Elixir (I also use Caudalie’s Beauty Elixir to set my makeup)
Serum: Josie Maran’s Pure Argan Milk Intensive Hydrating Treatment
Eye Cream: Caudalie’s Premier Cru Eye Cream
Moisturizer: No 7 Early Defence Day Cream with SPF 30 Every now and then, I’ll use a tinted moisturizer with added SPF: Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 Oil Free in the shade 3C1 Fawn
SPF: Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost Gel With Sunscreen for extra protection
Night-Time Routine:
For the night-time I use products that are richer and can absorb into my skin while I sleep. The majority of my products for the night-time have a lot of Anti-aging agents to help keep my skin youthful, hydrated, firm, and rejuvenated. So, while i’m sleeping they can work their magic. So that when I wake in the morning my skin feels nourished, youthful and well rested.
Cleanse: (For the Fall/Winter Months when my skin needs extra hydration and moisture) No7 Beautiful Skin Age Defense Cleanser or No7 Beautiful Skin Melting Gel Cleanser (Main Cleanser)
Elixir: Caudalie’s Premier Cru Elixir ( Can be used for the daytime as well)
Facial Oil: Boots No7 Youthful Replenishing Facial Oil, for an added boost I use: Sunday Riley’s Luna Sleeping Night Oil
Serum: No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advance Serum
Eye Cream: Chanel’s Le Lift Creme Yeux Firming Anti-Wrinkle/Aging Eye Cream
Moisturizer: Chanel’s Le Lift Creme Rich Firming Anti-Aging/Wrinkle Cream
For Extra TLC Skincare Needs:
For extra hydration and moisture, I’ll often use various hydrating mask and sheet mask. My favorite hydrating sheet mask are: Nature’s Republic Aqua Collagen Solution Ceramide Hydro Gel Mask, Nature’s Republic Real Green Tea Aqua Gel Mask , SKII Facial Treatment Mask , and Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask Hydration.
If I didn’t get enough sleep the night before, and I wake up with puffy eyes and dark circles— I’ll use some under eye gel mask. They’re great for depuffing, replenishing and reducing the appearance of any dark circles for your tired eyes. My favorite go to under eye masks are: Tarte’s Pack your Bags 911 Undereye Rescue Patches, Peter Thomas Roth’s 24K Gold Pure Luxury Lift & Firm Hydra Gel Eye Patches and Que Bella Professional Moisturizing Gel Eye Mask.
In the event my skin is going thru either hormonal spells or the occasional flair up. A great mask that I’ve tried and recommend is Ballerina Botanicals Detox Mask to find out more about the product click here. Another favorite of mine is Glam Glow’s Supermud Clearing Treatment Mask. If my skin needs a little lift and brightening I use Glam Glow’s FlashMud Brightening treatment.
Be sure to exfoliate your skin at least twice a week. My favorite exfoliator at the moment is: First Aid Beauty’s Facial Radiance Polish. I also love : Dermalogica’s Skin Prep Scrub and Daily Microfoliant Powder Exfoliant.
Shop all my skincare products by clicking on the product listed.

It’s best to always listen to your skin, and give it the TLC it deserves. Please do share your beauty tips and tricks. I love learning, experimenting and hearing from you. Anniesa Hasibuan’s show was simply captivating and moving. At the young age of 28, Hasibuan was the first Indonesian designer to showcase her collection at NYFW. This show has been heard all over the world, and with good reason. History was made in New York at NYFW, for she was the first Indonesian designer to present her collection, where the hijab made its debut on the catwalk. Featuring colorful headscarves in pink, silver and gold. The hijab was styled with eye catching jackets, gowns, colorful silk and patterned tunics, velvets and brocades adorned with pearls and sequins. All handcrafted and beaded with precise detail and care. Anniesa Hasibuan’s collection was inspired by her hometown Jakarta. The final outfit was the most gorgeous showstopper that left the audience stunned. It was truly inspiring to see a young designer like Anniesa Hasibuan present at NYFW. Not only inspiring but empowering, making you believe that dreams really do come true. The look of joy and happiness shined bright on her face has she walked the runway at the end of her show. The show concluded with a standing ovation, that gave me goosebumps.
I fell in love with the beaded jackets and gowns shown that evening. You can clearly see the time and effort that went into making each piece. How they were all handcrafted with the utmost love and care. Truly remarkable. I would totally rock one of those jackets any day!
[The hijab is a veil traditionally worn by Muslim women in the presence of adult males outside of their immediate family, which usually covers the head and chest. The term can further refer to any head, face, or body covering worn by Muslim women that conforms to a certain standard of modesty. Hijab can also be used to refer to the seclusion of women from men in the public sphere, or it may denote a metaphysical dimension, for example referring to “the veil which separates man or the world from God”. (Wikipedia)]
Most often the hijab is worn by muslim women to display modesty and privacy. Most women are often stereotyped as disempowered, and constricted when wearing the hijab. Although, many women today choose to wear it for personal reasons. The hijab is in fact seen as a feminist statement to many. The women of the muslim culture have been neglected in the fashion industry for quite some time. But thanks to designers like Anniesa Hasibuan–she made her mark which was well received by many in the fashion industry. At the end of the show, I along with fellow blogger and friend Ellese Launer of Rock Paper Glam had the pleasure of speaking with the designer. A lovely women, with such great talents and a heart of gold. We asked, ” How long did the beading take?” And she responded, ” Quite some time, all were hand beaded and crafted.” When you speak to her, you too, will see her grace, charm and passion for fashion.
I’ll concluded with a statement Anniesa Hasibuan made to CNN, “I am so proud and thankful for everyone on the team who helped me so this event could happen, and I am thankful to international and local media from Indonesia for exposing my show. I did not realize the result can be this amazing, and I am thrilled and humbled by the welcome reaction given.” (CNN)
Thank you Anniesa Hasibuan for inspiring and empowering many of us with your collection and making a huge impact on the world. Your designs are truly amazing and well respected.

My New York look in full effect. It’s so basic, yet so chic all at the same time. For the daytime I like to feel comfy, and this is a great casual and chic look. For a more daytime casual feel, as I’ve done here, wear flats. For the night time, throw on a pair of heels to make this outfit sizzle for a night out on the town. My favorite heels to pair with this outfit: Jimmy Choo Kiki Suede & Fringe Heels. In addition to the heels, change up your lip color to be night time ready. My suggestion would be: a bold red lip or even a deep mave or brown lip color. My favorite Fall shade lipsticks are: Bobbi Brown’s lipstick in the Shade Cocoa and Tom Ford’ Lip Color Matte in shade Ruby Rush What I love about wearing all black, it’s a look that’s so effortless and stylish. An outfit so basic, you just need to accessorize it to take it to the next level. I’m a huge fan of accessories! With the right accessories, you can make your outfit POP!
