Have Patience and Have Faith

Posted on: August 28, 2018

Lately, I’ve been hearing about, reading and witnessing so many heartaches, deaths and just a lot of pain overall. Life currently hasn’t been easy, and I can see that we’ve all been affected by something in one way or another. But what I can say is that if you get up each and everyday, your trying at least. Sometimes we can be too hard or too critical of ourselves, but we are trying. Even though at times it seems like everything is crashing like a ton of bricks and we just can’t seem to bare it anymore. If I’ve learned anything thus far in my 33 years of life, it’s to NEVER GIVE UP.

A few days ago, I met a lovely woman who spoke to me about her struggles and difficulties that she’s experienced over this past year. She’s torn because she’s leaving her current home to relocate and live with her parents as she tries to recovery and win her fight to cancer. As we chatted for a bit, she was telling me how disappointed she was with herself because at her age she didn’t see this life for herself. She wasn’t too thrilled to move back home and live with her parents. Not that she wasn’t or isn’t happy to see her family, but thats not where she physically wants to be. She imagined her life looking different. She saw herself  married, with kids possibly, and both her and her spouse would be growing and building their lives together. But instead, life hit her hard. She was diagnosed with Cancer, and she’s been receiving Chemotherapy treatments this entire year. I definitely felt for her. Even though, there are various forms of Cancer out there, I’ve dealt with it personally in my family and with close friends. I currently have a friend whose fighting for her life right now with stage 4 cancer. Life is never easy. But I keep on hearing that God gives his strongest soldiers the toughest battles because he knows that they can and will grow and become even stronger from it. I still struggle with this statement. Because it’s something I’m still trying to understand and grasp every single day. When we hear about death, when we hear about life threatening illnesses, heartache– I ask God why did he have to take away our loved ones so soon? What is the lesson we need to learn through all this pain and turmoil. Our conversation continued as we both saw and realized we were wearing the same evil eye and hamsa macrame bracelets. Which symbolizes protection, safety and warding off evil spirits. It only goes to show how faith has been a strong presence in both our lives in all forms.

This has been a tough year to say the least for me. Some days have been harder than most, but what I can say is that I’m still alive through the grace of God, patience and my faith. I try and continue to remain strong and positive as best as I can. Even though it’s all definitely been tested time and time again. The woman I met, she said she’s learned a lot in this time as she heals and tries to fight her battle with Cancer. She said what this has taught her is to have faith but most importantly patience. That resonated with me a lot, because that’s what I’ve learned as well. Faith doesn’t make anything in life easy, but it makes it possible. We might not receive the answers or signs right away or when we want immediately, but we must continue to have faith and we must be patient. Even though we haven’t seen yet. We must walk by faith and not by sight.  Because with faith and patience anything is possible. I, too have had my share of battles and hardship like many of us.

In the latter half of 2017, I was diagnosed with Adenomyosis. It’s a rare condition that effect woman typically late in their childbearing years but can occur at any age. Sometimes there aren’t any visible signs of the condition. Many times it can go unnoticed for years. Having been diagnosed with this, my faith, my strength and patience has definitely been tested. It’s definitely taught me a lot about my own personal strength, my faith and patience.  At times I found myself lost, and just wondering , why…. It made me question a lot of things, including something that’s been very important to be which is my faith. I’ve always wanted to have a children, to have a family in general. This post has been hard for me to write, because I’ve had my share of pain and hardship with experiencing various miscarriages. The excitement to carry your own child and feel it growing inside you then have that taken away all of a sudden is beyond  any words I can express. So needless to say,  its been a difficult road to conceiving and also carrying to term, but it doesn’t mean that there isn’t hope that I won’t be able to. I haven’t lost hope which is what I’m essentially saying. I’ve weighed all the options, done my research and sought out various opinions from Medical professionals. I know many women struggle with infertility every single day. But if you read and do your research about the condition, seek out your options, and get the proper care it doesn’t mean that it isn’t possible. I just also found out that Gabrielle Union was also diagnosed with this condition as well. She’s struggled with infertility for years and many doctors couldn’t pinpoint what was wrong until now. But she has said that even having this condition, this will not stop her journey in trying to have her own children.  ( To learn more about Gabrielle Union, journey with Infertility click here). When the time is right and God blesses me or any other women with this condition, with a child,  I know that it’s not only a miracle but God’s will and his doings. Remember to do your research, know that with having this condition, if you do get pregnant, it’s perfectly safe to carry a child. Get all the facts and don’t be misinformed.  What I’ve learned about my condition, is that having a child can help me in my situation, but I leave it in Gods hands to heal me completely. Where I no longer have this tumor growing inside of me and blessed with a healthy, loving and happy family.

Living with Adenomyosis hasn’t been easy. It’s been a tough road so far, but I’m not going to let this beat me. I’m going to fight through this. I know God, my guardian Angels, family and friends have been supporting me with their love and prayers since day one. I believe in miracles so I’m going to continue to pray, have faith and have patience. This won’t beat me, and I know one day the blessings of a family, will come it’s just all in God’s hands. Going back to my conversation with the woman I met, the important and key words that came out of that conversation were to continue to: stay positive, have faith and have patience. No matter what life throws at us, we must continue to have faith, have patience and remain positive. I know it’s definitely easier said than done but trying is half the battle. When you try and when you believe your half way there.

I know with continued prayers, faith, and patience, I know God can create miracles. We may not understand it now, but I can only hope everything will fall into place and make sense eventually.  We just have to keep the faith and the positive vibes flowing.  Every situation is different and I know it can definitely be worse. So, I still continue to count my blessings and thank God every single day. Gratitude is everything. Something we need to always remember.

So if you follow me on Instagram (@SocialFashionistaBeauty) I’m sure you’ve noticed a lot of my post and stories related to faith, staying positive and being patient. Along with being kind and to never stop believing. Although I have strong passion for all things beauty, style and lifestyle, faith is a huge component in my life as well. So as I remain in my faith and keep my positive thoughts flowing I love sharing that positive energy and the Lord’s word with you all to carry you through your days as well. We all need any and all forms of resources for hope, faith and positivity so I’m happy to share and pass it along to all of you.

The strongest people aren’t those that show strength in front of us, but those that fight and win battles we know nothing about. We are all fighting a battle each and everyday. Even when the days can and seem so dim, and you feel like giving up , DON’T. Be kind, have faith, have patience, and never stop believing. Faith doesn’t make things easy, it makes them possible.

To all those fighting battles, experiencing tough times, hardships, heartaches, pain, and struggle remember to have faith and patience. God is with us all. Continue to pray, stay positive and never lose hope. Believe in miracles and fight for what you want and believe in.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers. As always, thanks for reading along, following and supporting my journey.

SFB Motivational Mondays: Quotes, Mantras and Songs for Inspiration, motivation and more.

Posted on: August 15, 2017

Hi Loves!

Happy Monday! Can you believe it’s August already??!! How did that happen, the months are just flying by. I know it’s been some time since you last heard from me. I took some time for myself, to re-group, re-center and re-evaluate a few things for the blog and just with myself. I can’t stress to you all enough how important self-care is, I’ll be talking about self-care in a separate post. But it’s important to always take care of yourself in all facets. Whether it be physically, emotionally, mentally, whatever the case is, do you and be good to yourself. Being good to yourself and give yourself and your body the love and care it needs. It’s not only important but it good for your overall health and of course your soul as well. Just something to think about.

Anyway, here are a few quotes, mantras and songs that keep me going throughout my days. If ever your feeling down, lost, undetermined, unfocused, unmotivated find meaningful quotes, music or even mantras that will help you through your days. Working out can be a great source of release as well. Great stress reliever as well as a mind clearer. Plus, it gets those endorphins going and those happy, positive vibe radiate out of you. This can also do wonders for you as well. A breath of fresh air and getting outside is a great thing to do for yourself. It clears the mind, and helps you re-center your thoughts.

These quotes, mantras and songs have done wonders for me and I hope they can do the same for you. They help me get through those tough days, challenges and any bumps I may be facing at the time. They help me stay positive, keep focus on what’s important, motivate me, inspire and keep me staying determined always. For me, quotes, music and certain mantras have helped me get through a lot of my darker times and moments in my life. I also lean on the support of my amazing, loving husband, family and friends. Having a strong support system is also crucial to help you get through those tough times. But know you are never alone, and we all go through it in our lives. Just remember we will all get through any challenges, obstacles, struggles, bumps, hurdles that life throws at us. Another way to help you get you thru your days is always staying positive and optimistic. I can’t stress this enough. When you shift your mindset, and just give out and spread only positive thoughts and vibes it can do wonders on your overall attitude on life and any challenges you may be facing. I know this isn’t always easy at times, we are human and we can falter sometimes and have moments of doubt and uncertainty within ourselves. But we must try and create and believe in ourselves and the positive energy we possess. We all have it in us, we just need to harness it, spread it and believe in it. Anything is possible, just remember that.

Lastly, another great way to stay positive and help you through anything is the power of prayer. Turning to God or your choice of worship can help keep the momentum and positivity going for yourself. Don’t underestimate the power of prayer, God is always listening and watching. He will always send a sign and listen to our prayers. God is good, I truly believe that.

Here are my favorite quotes, mantras and songs that keep me going:

I hope this help you all. Remember you are not alone. We can all share and learn from one another. Please share your ways to keep yourself motivated, inspired, empowered and determined. I love hearing from you all and I love how we can inspire and empower one another.

As always thanks for reading, following along and supporting the journey!

SFB Motivational Mondays: Know your Purpose

Posted on: July 10, 2017

Happy Monday Loves!!

I hope everyone is having a great week so far. I just want to remind you all that if ever your feeling lost or even uninspired remember you have a purpose. We all have a purpose. You just have to believe in your purpose and believe that you can make it happen. I’m a firm believer in believing in your purpose especially with a positive can do attitude. Also, anything is always possible especially with God and all those at a higher calling watching over us. Know your purpose and believe in it and it will happen. Trust in your purpose. We were all created to do something great in this world we all have a purpose, never forget that!! Nothing is ever impossible. Anything is possible!!

Father Can You Hear Me by jemana95

I wanted to share this video with you because the message is truly remarkable and a true blessing. We all can get lost at times, even I can feel down on myself. But it happens to the best of us, after all we are human. What I do know is, that no matter what anyone says, or what they may project onto you, know that you have a higher purpose. You shouldn’t dwell on those who are weak and feel like they need to spread hate and animosity. They are purely just projecting their own feelings but that isn’t who you are and never allow them to ever make you feel any less. I have fallen victim to this, but I know in my heart who I am both inside and out and those around me know that. That’s all that matter, and those haters, they are just that. So, let them hate and try to bring you down, but just remember to take the higher road, and rise above it all. I promise you, they’re the ones who will falter and they’re the ones who need the most guidance out of us all. So, my message to you all is stay focus, determined, and always remember your purpose. For your purpose will take you places that others can’t see but you can see what lies ahead.

Have a beautiful day loves!! I’m always here to inspire, enlighten, empower and challenge you to always be a better version of yourself!! Please know that, I’m always here for you and your journey of purpose!! XO 😘 🙏🏽🙌🏽👌🏽😊😃 #SocialFashionistaBeauty #SFBEmpowers #SFBInspires #SFBMotivationalMondays #KnowyourPurpose #GodisGood #BelieveInYourself #Love #AnythingisPossible

As always, thank you for reading, following along and supporting my journey!!

Phenomenal Women

Posted on: June 21, 2017

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I’m telling lies.
I say,
It’s in the reach of my arms,
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.
I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A hive of honey bees.
I say,
It’s the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of my teeth,
The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.
Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can’t touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them,
They say they still can’t see.
I say,
It’s in the arch of my back,
The sun of my smile,
The ride of my breasts,
The grace of my style.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.
Now you understand
Just why my head’s not bowed.
I don’t shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing,
It ought to make you proud.
I say,
It’s in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair,
the palm of my hand,
The need for my care.
’Cause I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.
– Maya Angelou

{“Phenomenal woman”  Angelou speaks as a self-confident woman, she wants to show the world what makes her beautiful and she expresses it in a various ways….. A phenomenal woman can be any shape or size. Creed, religion, age, sexual orientation, the family she was born into, or the colour of her skin do not matter. She is strong yet weak; she struggles with her own identity from time to time, but she understands that is all part of who she is}.

The poem that I shared with you above is by the famous Maya Angelou. Her words speak so many truths and volumes. She’s a true inspiration to us all in more ways than one. She too, endured her own struggles, but she prevailed and persevered. I, thank her for her words, her works and being the woman that she was and stood for.  She continues to be a powerful voice to many even though she is no longer with us.

Lately, I’ve been doing a lot of soul searching, trying to work through my feelings of uncertainty and a whirl of emotions. I’d like to consider myself a strong, independent, confident woman, but at times I can’t say that I am those things. Have you ever felt this way? Or dealt with feelings like these? If so, how did you cope or deal with what you were feeling?  I’m human, and I’m sure some if not all of you all can relate. I’ve read a lot of books that have uplifted my spirits and have helped me get me back to my center. I’m blessed to have people in my life, who have helped me through my struggles. Their advice and words of encouragement have enlightened and strengthened my spirit. I’m grateful and thankful for them. They have helped me through some of the hardest times in life in my life. Just to warn you, this may be a long post, but it’s definitely worth the read.

Recently, I watched a video and read an article on someone who I’ve admired. Her inspirational and powerful life story spoke to me in a way, that brought me to tears.  I wanted to take this time to write and share this with you. In the beginning of 2017, I spoke about being more open with you. I’m exploring my openness with you all today. Little by little you will learn more about me and who I am over time.

Today, I’d like to talk to you about a woman who has a powerful and positive voice. Someone who is not only inspirational but empowering.  She has endured much pain and hardship throughout her life. Which many of us can relate to in some way shape or form. Her story is heartbreaking, uplifting and powerful. She’s living the dream and she’s worked hard to get to where she is now. She is living proof, through adversity you can rise above it all. You can live the life you want and that hard work truly pays off. This remarkable women is : Oprah Winfrey. Her name is well known and loved by many, but do you know her life story?  Today, I’d like to remind us all of our inner phenomenal Wo(man). While also touching upon Oprah Winfrey’s life, her story and how she too is a phenomenal woman.

Many of us have endured and faced some challenges and obstacles in our lives. Some more so than others. I have been through some of the darkest times in my life. I’ve experienced pain and hurt in the worst ways possible. I know I’m speaking around my words and not being specific about my experiences. But that’s for another post, for another day and time. What I will say is, my struggles have taught me a lot about myself. It gave me new perspective on life— what I wanted out of life and what kind of life I wanted to live. I’ve become a stronger and wiser woman since then. I also know that my past doesn’t dictate my future and who I am now. Life teaches us a lot of lessons even at the worst times in our lives. What we need to remember is that we alone hold the key to our future. Sometimes, I think we forget that we create our own life. However big or small or grand or simple, it’s all in our hands.  Oprah endured physical and emotion abuse, failures and setbacks and through it all she rose above it. She is living proof that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.

I mentioned earlier that I’ve been doing a lot of soul searching…. Well, to be completely honest, I’ve been feeling well for lack of better words: insecure, unhappy and uninspired. Certain things have contributed to these feelings, and at times it’s been hard to work through them.  During these time, my faith even my heart has been tested. Sometimes, during times of struggles, not only is it challenge but a trying time. What I have learned is that it’s gonna be okay and at times life will send us messages that will test us. But these are the times where we truly see how strong we are as people. At least, that’s how I see it as.  I’m human and many of us will experience some bumps in the road from time to time. It’s never the greatest but that’s life. I know that I’m not alone, we all go through our share of ups and downs, it’s all part of the journey. I’ve learned that this too shall pass. I know these feeling won’t last forever. I’m grateful to God, and I know he is guiding me each and everyday. I keep on reminding myself of my purpose while trying to stay positive. Even though I’ve been feeling this way, I know who I am and what I’m all about. With constant help from my support system around me, my spirits have been lifted. In addition to that, all of you have brought happiness into my life.  It’s another reason for me to feel and be empowered, enlightened and inspired. Everything in life is a process, and we all work through it all in our own ways. This is all in the moment, and I know this is all temporary. It’s just another reason to remind us all, myself included that we are all phenomenal. No matter what anyone says or tells us, we’re all remarkable and beautiful both inside and out. This is a struggle for most of us. I too, struggle with this, but it’s a good daily reminder that we should always remember.

Here are some of the ways I’ve learned to cope and deal with what’s been troubling me. Maybe these can be useful for you if you ever experience these unsettling feelings.

  • Meditation
  • Reading books that will uplift your spirt, mind, and soul
  • Surround yourself with positive minded people
  • Yoga
  • Daily exercise
  • Screaming and letting it all out and letting it go
  • Speaking with your family, friends, peers the ones you trust , those who are in your circle. Talking and communicating is very therapeutic, a good for the soul
  • Singing, is actually a great form of release as well. {Fun fact, I’ve been singing since I was 5 year old}. Stay tuned, maybe I’ll give you a little preview one of these days
  • Being completely honest with yourself
  • Stay true and authentic always
  • Choose an uplifting and empowering affirmation/mantra something that will not only inspire you but others and repeat it. Make it a daily reminder for yourself and believe it. Know you are worth it
  • It may be easier said than done but even through it all continue to remain positive and optimistic
  • Know that this to shall pass and what you’re feeling is only temporary
  • Continue to smile, a smile can go a long way. Who knows, your smile can brighten someone else’s day

We all can rise above the challenges we face and live the life we want. At the age of 32, Oprah became the first African American on national Television in America and the youngest millionaire. How did she do this? She remained determined, worked hard and instead of staying she couldn’t she said she can, and so can you!  I just turned 32, I’m not a millionaire, but I have a million reasons to be happy, thankful and grateful! I’m so grateful for all of life’s blessings, and I know my work is far from being done. I have so much to look forward to. I’m not perfect but I’m okay with that. I’m living life how I want each and every day. I have many more dreams and goals I’d like to accomplish and I’m just getting started. I’m building my own story and having faith in the journey that lies ahead.  I’m a work in progress as we all are.

On a more positive note, after writing and sharing this all with you, and working through what’s been troubling me; I can honestly say that I’m in a better space. No one said life would ever be easy, even Oprah has said this because she’s gone through her share. Nothing ever happens overnight, but I’m trusting and believing that it’ll all work itself out in the long run. So, as I continue to tell myself not to let certain things get me down you shouldn’t either. We are all phenomenal, amazing human beings. We just have to remember to listen to that voice inside and continue to remind ourselves this from time to time.

Oprah Winfrey Inspirational Life Story… Watch the video and listen to Oprah’s powerful story. Her life will amaze you and inspire you in more ways than one.

Here’s Oprah’s Tearful Speech at Power of Women : A powerful speech that will uplift you but may bring you to tears so keep a box of kleenex close by.

In life, we’ll face many challenges, go through struggles and jump through many hurdles some of which we may not understand or want. We just need to realize and know that its only temporary. We can work through it and overcome it. Sometimes we need daily reminders to let us all know, it’s gonna be ok, and that we’re doing a great job. No matter what anyone tells us, we are amazing in our own ways. We need to remember, we all have the power and will to live the life we want. We need to all believe in our true power, we need to believe that we are worth it. When we start to believe that, we can truly become what we want to be and what we are meant to be. This is something I will continue to tell myself and so should you.

I hope you all were able to take something from this post. I hope it encourages you to go out there and live out your dreams. My hope for this post is to continue to uplift, inspire and empower you all. I feel more at ease and my spirit is lifted. I know that everything takes time and it’s a process, but it’ll all be worth it in the end. Build your own story, begin your journey, enjoy it, respect it and believe in it. I promise you, it will all be worth it in the end.

We are all phenomenal Wo(man), we need to always remember this, celebrate it and believe it!

What is uplifting and empowering to you?

As alway, thanks for reading, following along and supporting my journey!

I never said the journey would be easy but I did say that the journey would be worth it.

In life, we will face challenges, obstacles and hurdles. But it’s all part of the journey and experience. Remember to say “I can” instead of  “I can’t.” Because you can, no matter what anyone says, you can. Remember you will always have haters in life, let them. Everyone will have an opinion, everyone will judge, let them. Why? Because, they are just projecting their own insecurities and flaws onto you, because they don’t have your strength, will and determination. Plus, think about this, if you didn’t have any haters, you wouldn’t be doing something right…. In some way, shape or form, deep down, they are inspired by what you do, but because of their own insecurities they choose to hate. Why hate when we are all on working towards something, aren’t we? They choose to be negative instead being positive don’t give them the satisfaction. Don’t waste your time on the haters, don’t lose sight of your goals, keep the momentum going. Work hard, stay focus, and always be humble and grateful for all everything. Be thankful for this life you have and the life you have created. You only have one life, be good to it and it will be good to you. Take a deep breath, and enjoy everything that life offers. Enjoy life’s moments, don’t let a moment pass you by. Time doesn’t stand still, it just keeps going faster each passing year. So live in each moment that takes your breath away.

Lastly, trust and believe in your path. Trust and believe, you are on this journey for the right reasons. Make all the hard work count. Do everything with a passion and purpose. I guarantee you, it will all pay off and be worth it in the long run.

Women’s Wednesdays: Anniesa Hasibuan

Posted on: March 15, 2017

As Women’s History month continues, I wanted to show recognition to this remarkable woman. Someone who has redefined culture, impacted the world and fashion and is the epitome of what it is to be a strong, empowering female. Her name has been heard all over the world and rightfully so. At the young age of 28, her designs go beyond fashion, she is not only a designer but an influential role model for many women all over the world. Her name is: Anniesa Hasibuan. If you haven’t heard of her yet, now you have, she is one woman whose unforgettable. A humble, talented women that has made her mark on the world as one of the first Indonesian females to present during NYFW last September.

This NYFW season, I was grateful to attend another show of hers, and I was reluctant to sit front row alongside my fellow Lady Bosses Ellese from Rock Paper Glam and Gina from What The Doost. Each season, I’m in complete awe with all of the creations the designers present during NYFW. Anniesa Hasibuan is one designer who not only creates exceptional pieces but gives a whole new meaning to the word empowerment. Last September, she presented her collection where all her models wore the infamous hijab. The Hijab as been seen on many women all over the world often times as a sign of modesty and privacy. Most often, women have been stereotyped as disempowered and constricted when wearing the hijab. But she quickly changed many perceptions of that in one evening. It’s as if I was transported to another time, where women were seen as equals, where we all stood strong and proud wearing the hijab. In one evening, her impact during NYFW, made a HUGE statement in the most positive ways seen all over the world.   The hijab is now not only seen as a strong symbol for many women around the world, but a big fashion statement that is recognized and seen has something quite powerful.  Despite’s many misconceptions and stereotypes, Anniesa Hasibuan changed the view of many and has made a huge impact on both the world and fashion.

This season, she presented her F/W ’17 collection Drama. Once again, she left us in complete awe with all the glitz and glam. Each model dazzled and shined down the runway, in her hand beaded pieces, full-length detailed skirts and intricate designs accessorized with once again the infamous hijab. Her collection and show uplifted our spirits and left us wanting more. Although the hijabs proved to be the main focus last season that wasn’t the case this season. They blended into the background as the outfits took center stage— but perhaps this was the intention. Her designs modeled and seen on the runway illustrated a strong, elegant, glamorous, empowered woman who had exceptional taste and exuded a luxurious lifestyle and persona. Anniesa has proved to us that she is a women beyond her time that can will continue to make waves and statements for all of us to applaud and follow. It comes to no surprise that Anniesa Hasibuan stunned her audience again with an intense, regal runway show. I’m sure many of you are aware of how we females have felt disempowered in our society lately. After seeing Anniesa’s show and many other designers during NYFW, the presence of the female voice was very strong. Giving us all hope that we can all stand proud, unite together and feel strong, empowered and uplifted.  If you attended any of the shows at NYFW you felt the strong politic presence this season. The feeling and atmosphere was quite powerful. Anniesa Hasibuan not only keeps us fashionable but inspires us to be all we can be no matter what race or culture. More reasons to love her, not just for her fashionable creative talents but her encouraging female spirit.

After seeing her show, I left feeling proud and teary-eyed. Her runway show not only gave me chills, but the message and impact she’s made on the world is truly incredible. There aren’t many women who’ve dared to make a difference, made changes in cultural perspectives and continues to uplift everyone around them but she is one whose done this and so much more. I’m blessed and grateful to witness her journey and see how she’s made a name for herself heard all over the world.  She is a true example of a strong, influential, creative, inspiring lady boss who we all can look up to and follow for years to come.
