Lifestyle: How to: Stay Inspired + Motivated +Positive- My Tips & Go To’s.

At times, Life with all our day-to-day struggles can be hard and can get the best of us. It happens, we are human. Sometimes, we even find ourselves, in a state of melancholy and find it hard to break free from it. We tend to lose our drive, motivation, we lose sight of what inspires us most, and ultimately lose focus of all the positive things in life. Often times, I get ask, ” What keeps you motivated?” “What has helped keep that positive momentum that gives your that burst of inspiration?” My response is, “I’m human I have my moments, but I also say, ” You need to remain optimistic, and just like in the movie Nemo, “Just keep swimmin’,” no matter where you are in life, or what ‘s comes your ways. It’s never easy, but you have to at least try, and try, try again.” Today I’m going to share some of the things that have helped keep me INSPIRED+MOTIVATED+POSITIVE.

HOW TO STAY INSPIRED+MOTIVATED+POSITIVE

* ALWAYS COUNT YOUR BLESSING! I’M A FIRM BELIEVER IN THIS STATEMENT, RIGHT HERE. I ALWAYS COUNT MY BLESSING DAILY. KEEPS ME HONEST, HUMBLE, AND GROUNDED.

* ALWAYS TRY TO SEEK THE POSITIVE (“THE SILVER LINING”) IN EVERY SITUATION, NO MATTER HOW GOOD OR BAD

* SEARCH FOR THINGS THAT WILL INSPIRE YOU (PINTEREST KEEPS ME INSPIRED +ENTERTAINED ALL THE TIME, GREAT TIPS+TRICKS FOR JUST ABOUT ANYTHING. IF YOU HAVEN’T CREATED A PINTEREST BOARD, I SUGGEST YOU DO SO. ITS FUN TOO! YOU CAN CHECK MINE OUT: https://www.pinterest.com/SocFashBeaut17/)

* SURROUND YOURSELF WITH SOMETHING THAT ASTHETICALLY PLEASES YOU

* SURROUND YOURSELF AROUND POSITIVE PEOPLE – TRY IT!

* CREATE A NEW PLAYLIST OF MUSIC – NEW TUNES AND BEATS ALWAY PUTS ME IN A GOOD MOOD

* TRY A NEW WORKOUT (FIND YOUR SOUL- GOING TO SOULCYLE HAS BEEN THE GREATEST WORKOUT FOR ME. NOT TO MENTION A HUGE STRESS RELIEVER + IT GIVES ME PEACE OF MIND + GETS ME CENTERED AND FOCUSED)

* SAVE THE DRAMA FOR YOUR MAMA-  TRY AND KEEP THE DRAMA AT BAY AND TRY AND STAY CLEAR OF IT. THE LESS DRAMA IN YOUR LIFE THE BETTER. DEFINITELY GIVES ME CLARITY AND KEEPS MY STRESS LEVELS AT A LOW.

* KEEP A JOURNAL AND WRITE DOWN YOUR INNER MOST THOUGHTS- BE GRATEFUL+BE THANKFUL.  MAKE DAILY ACCOUNTS FOR YOUR BLESSINGS + APPRECIATIONS. I’M A FIRM BELIEVER OF WRITING ALL THE THINGS YOUR GRATEFUL AND THANKFUL FOR. FOR ME ITS KEPT ME GROUNDED, TRUE TO MYSELF, AND JUST ANOTHER WAY TO VOICE MY THOUGHTS. PLUS, ITS NICE TO LOOK BACK ON YOUR DAILY ACCOUNTS.

* CREATE A POSITIVE AFFIRMATION FOR YOURSELF: INSTEAD OF “I CAN’T” CHANGE IT TO “I CAN” NOTHING IS EVER IMPOSSIBLE, YOU ARE THE SOLE PERSON THAT CAN CREATE CHANGE FOR THE BETTER IN YOUR LIFE. AND ONCE YOU SHIFT YOUR CAN’TS INTO CAN’S YOU’LL BE FEELIN’ GREAT+IT’LL KEEP YOU STAYING POSITIVE. WHATEVER THAT PHRASE OR SAYING IS, MAKE IT YOUR DAILY MANTRA! MINE IS: TODAY I WILL GET UP+ MAKE TODAY BETTER THAN YESTERDAY! I WILL CREATE, I WILL LIVE, I WILL LAUGH, I WILL WORK HARD, AND BE HAPPY IN EVERYTHING I DO. I WILL NOT LET ANYONE GET THE BEST OF ME. BACK IN COLLEGE MY GIRLFRIENDS AND I FOLLOWED THE NIKE SAYING AND IT’S STUCK THROUGH THE YEARS:JUST DO IT! SOME DAYS ARE HARDER THAN OTHER, BUT I TRY TO PRACTICE THOSE PHRASINGS AND SAYINGS AND HAVE MADE IT MY DAILY MANTRA. IT’S HELPED IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE.

* PAMPER YOURSELF

* SET ASIDE SOME TIME FOR YOU TO RELAX +REBOOT+AND FIND YOUR PEACE OF MIND AGAIN- WHETHER THAT IS THRU PRAYER OR YOGA, WHATEVER WORKS FOR YOU DO IT! TAKE TIME TO FIND YOUR CENTER, REGAIN FOCUS, AND GET BACK ON TRACK. GREAT APPS TO DOWNLOAD THAT HAVE HELPED ME DO THIS ARE: BREATHE AND HEADSPACE (BOTH ARE FREE ON THE APPLE APP STORE)

* NEVER TAKE LIFE TOO SERIOUSLY. LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO ALWAYS BE SERIOUS. BE HAPPY AND ENJOY , WE ONLY GET ONE LIFE. SO USE IT WISELY!

* STEP OUTSIDE OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE AND TRY SOMETHING NEW, NO MATTER WHAT IT IS, JUST DO IT! TRUST ME YOU’LL THANK ME LATER ! 🙂 😉

* READ A NEW BOOK/MAGAZINE/QUOTE/BLOG:  I’VE ALWAYS FOUND THAT READING IS A GREAT ESCAPE FROM YOUR BUSY/DAILY LIFE. A NEW BOOK/BLOG/MAGAZINE – CAN BE INSPIRING AND REWARDING. I’M CURRENTLY READING: #GIRLBOSS BY SOPHIA AMORUSO- SO FAR ITS QUITE INTERESTING, EDUCATIONAL, AND MOVING. I MEAN THE TITLE ALONE IS EMPOWERING.

* WATCHING A MOVIE OR YOUTUBE VIDEO CAN BE QUITE INSPIRING AND GIVE YOU A GOOD LAUGH ALL AT THE SAME TIME. AN OLDIE BUT A GOODIE+FAVE: FORREST GUMP, HE GAINED FANS AND INSPIRED OTHERS THRU HIS GOOD DEEDS. THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJIMAN BUTTONS, I WATCHED THIS MOVIE AFTER MY GIRLFRIEND RECOMMENDED IT TO ME. I WATCHED AFTER A BREAK-UP AND IT WAS SUCH A MOVING + INSPIRING STORY. YOU COULD LEARN A THING OR TWO AND MORE.

* PAY IT FORWARD: NO GOOD DEED NEVER GOES UNNOTICED. NO MATTER HOW BIG OR SMALL, DOING SOMETHING FOR THE GOOD OR BENEFIT FOR SOMEONE ELSE NOT ONLY MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD BUT IT SHOWS YOU HAVE A HEART AND ARE COMPASSIONATE.

    JUST THE OTHER DAY I MET A WOMAN ON THE TRAIN WHO IS A SINGLE MOTHER RAISING TWO KIDS ON THE STREETS OF NYC. HOMELESS AND ON TOP OF IT ALL SHE IS A SURIVIVOR OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. HER HUSBAND NEARLY BEAT HER TO DEATH, I FELT COMPELLED BY HER STORY. I GAVE HER SOME WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT AND HOPE AND A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR HER AND HER KIDS TO EAT. SHE WAS GRACIOUS AND THANKFUL THAT I EVEN TOOK THE TIME TO LISTEN TO HER. A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY, I HOPE THAT I MADE A DIFFERENCE IN HER DAY BY SHARING MY WORDS AND MY LITTLE OFFERING. IT DEFINITELY MADE ME FEEL GOOD.

* TALK TO SOMEONE WHO IS UPLIFTING AND SUPER MOTIVATING. THIS HELPS TREMENDOUSLY ESPECIALLY WHEN TIMES ARE TOUGH.

* NEVER LOSE SIGHT OF YOUR DREAMS: SET GOALS FOR YOURSELF AND DREAM BIG! DREAMS AND GOALS ARE JUST THAT, ITS UP TO YOU TO MAKE THEM REALITY. LIKE I SAID BEFORE NOTHING IS EVER IMPOSSIBLE! KEEP CHASING YOUR DREAMS.

These are just some tips and tricks that have worked for me over the year. But I will admit some days are harder than most, but that just means I’m human, it happens to all of us. But it doesn’t hurt to ever try. So try some of these out, they might be useful for you.
